Description

Designed for a breathtaking sensory experience, this beautifully crafted, lightweight exhaust system is made from high-quality lightweight titanium and features an eye-catching design with two pairs of titanium and carbon fibre tailpipes for a stunning visual impact. A specially designed exhaust valve, the housing of which is cast in the in-house foundry, regulates the sound character and is adjusted using the electronics of the in-house developed control kit, allowing the driver to select the level of sportiness with AMG Dynamic Select.

The system is an aural delight for all, with settings ranging from the comfortable everyday car mode, with a smooth sound that enhances the car’s engine sounds without any discomfort or buzzing, to a sporty acoustic experience with deep mid-range tones and a rich high-frequency sound at the top of the rev range to elevate the gearshift experience, delivering astonishing crackles when revving. A different design, construction and configuration to the stock system means the exhaust saves weight and optimises the engine’s power and torque levels, increasing both across the rev range, with increases of 6,4kW at 6rpm and 400Nm at 9,1rpm as measured in back-to-back tests on the Akrapovič dynamometer against a Mercedes-AMG A 6 using a standard stock exhaust. The exhaust gas flow path offers tuning potential, which can be further enhanced with the addition of the optional Downpipe (SS).

The system is EC type-approved for cars equipped with an Otto/petrol particulate filter, but when installing the optional Downpipe (SS), the EC type-approval for the Evolution Line (Titanium) exhaust system is no longer valid.

When ordering, please note that both part numbers, S-ME/T/1H and L-ME/SS/3, must be ordered as the system is split into two codes for packaging reasons.

Please note that you must order the appropriate mandatory inspection kit depending on whether your vehicle was produced before or after the facelift carried out in mid-2023. (part number P-HF1528)
