Description

After driving the new GR Yaris, we found that the emergence of power is not obvious when the vehicle is running below 3 rpm, and it often falls in the low-torque rpm range. So there is a variable valve design in the stock intake housing, which is very common in RCF. We can see that the Yaris designers have made great efforts to balance torque and power.

The purpose of the modification is to have a bonus effect, not just to ignore the low speed and blindly pursue the high speed. We retained the original design that is justified, and strengthened the part that does not satisfy the drivers. The original variable valve mechanism was still used, and we designed it with the high-flow air filter. At the same time, the internal space of the air box was increased by 40%. Compared with the open design, the closed air box can avoid absorbing too much heat in the narrow engine compartment.

ARMASPEED's design compares with others, they choose to install high flow air filters and remove the airbox design which will not only directly lose low-end torque but also affect the power transition.
