The Mercedes W205 C63S AMG intake system is the result of extensive development and testing. Our brief included 3 main goals: 1) Increased flow. 2) Low intake temperatures. 3) Smooth airflow. The first goal was achieved by utilizing all of the limited space available in the C63S engine bay, resulting in a 39% increase in flow over the stock system. The second goal was achieved by designing a completely sealed system. The C63S engine bay reaches high temperatures with heat sources like turbos in close proximity to the intake, so it is essential that the intake remains sealed. The final goal was achieved by designing an organically shaped system with custom rounded panel filters to ensure that the airflow path does not contain any sharp corners, allowing the flow to remain laminar. With smooth transitions between the filters and the turbo inlets, our intake minimizes the formation of turbulence and therefore allows the turbos to operate more efficiently.
With these 3 goals achieved, our W205 C63S intake system delivers on all fronts and allows the turbos to generate boost more efficiently. This translates into improved throttle response and real power gains that increase with higher tuning levels. Since there are various turbo upgrades available for the C63S, we also provided a specific solution for larger turbos. Our C63S intake is available in 2 configurations: 61mm ID outlets to match stock and hybrid turbos and 3-inch ID outlets to match larger aftermarket turbos.
