Description

The G63 AMG W464's Eventuri intake is precision-crafted from pre-preg carbon fiber, with CNC-machined components and bespoke high-flow filters. This intake sets a new benchmark for aftermarket performance gains for this platform. By utilizing the extra space under the hood, we've significantly increased the intake volume, achieving 25% more airflow compared to the stock airboxes, while retaining the stock cold air intakes.

The larger intake volume also facilitates smoother airflow, allowing the turbos to draw in air with reduced resistance. This reduces the wastegate duty cycle and improves overall performance.

To accommodate the increased intake size, the engine cover has been redesigned and fitted with a custom-molded heat shield, equipped with high-temperature silicone insulation. This innovative design protects the cover from excessive heat generated by the turbos and manifold.

The Eventuri G63 AMG intake system delivers industry-leading performance gains while providing audio and visual enhancements for an enriched driving and ownership experience.

The intake system of the Eventuri G63 AMG consists of several components designed for a specific function and manufactured to the highest standards. The use of 100% pre-preg carbon fiber (without fiberglass) results in a smooth internal surface for optimal airflow.

Each intake system includes:

Carbon Fiber Airbox Bases
Carbon Fiber Airbox Covers
Custom high flow dry filters
Carbon fiber engine cover
CNC machined sensor brackets
Custom EPDM Flexible Conduit Connectors
Laser cut stainless steel brackets
AIR BOX ASSEMBLIES

The airboxes are designed in two parts, with the upper and lower sections separated by filter panels. Each section is carefully designed to maximize internal volume while ensuring unobstructed airflow to the turbos. The main challenge with this design was to optimize the internal volume of the airboxes to improve airflow compared to the stock airboxes. Given the compactness of the G63's engine bay, this was achieved by optimizing the internal height of the airboxes. The most significant improvement resulted from the enlargement of the upper covers, which allowed for a substantial increase in volume and smoother, more efficient airflow.

AIR BOX COMPARISONS

A direct comparison of the Eventuri intake with the stock airboxes clearly highlights the difference in volume and the improved airflow. The stock system's cold air intake is connected to the airbox by a long, reduced-size flexible duct. This also leaves little room at the base of the airbox to channel the incoming flow to the filter. We integrated most of the cold air intake into the base of our airbox, allowing for a much larger internal volume and a more organic airflow, thus optimizing filter exposure.

The stock airbox cover is further restricted due to the proximity of the filter panel to the turbo inlet. The airflow must negotiate a very tight transition between the rectangular filter and the circular turbo inlet, located on one side of the airbox. This results in stagnant flow over large areas of the filter, increasing resistance. We lowered the position of our filter to free up transition space to the turbo inlet. This allows for more efficient use of the filter, with minimal turbulence and significantly reduced drag on the turbos.

ENGINE COVER

By utilizing the space under the hood, we maximized the volume of our intake system, but this also required a redesign of the engine cover, as the original cover is located close to the original air intakes. This new cover is made from pre-preg carbon fiber and benefits from high-temperature insulation to protect it from the heat of the turbos.

CUSTOM PANEL FILTERS

Optimizing our air intake was only possible through custom filter design. Our high-flow filter panels utilize multi-layer dry media for efficient filtration, while offering a curved profile that eliminates inorganic angles in the airbox, which can be a source of potential turbulence.

The intake is compatible with W463 / W463A / W464 chassis from 2018 to 2024. The important thing is that the engine of all three chassis codes is a 8 L twin-turbo V4,0 (code M177).
