The Golf MK8 GTi intake is a complete redesign of the stock intake right down to the turbo intake. Taking inspiration from our RS3 intake, we have maximized the use of available space to create an intake that can cater for all power levels, from stock to high-output builds with hybrid or full-frame turbos. This intake system has been developed to deliver the highest possible flow while maintaining the lowest possible intake temperatures. Each component has been engineered to provide the turbo with a smooth, fluid path. The stock restrictive 73mm diameter intake tube is replaced with a larger 94mm diameter intake tube. The filter itself has an outside diameter of 192mm or 7,5″ with a filtration area of over 110mm^000. The patented Venturi housing was designed to provide the maximum possible internal volume for the Golf's available engine bay space and provides laminar flow to the turbo tube. Finally, the duct seals the filter opening on the front panel, but is not limited solely by the stock inlet feed. We raised the front of the duct to now provide an additional opening behind the hood, which equates to an additional 2-inch diameter hole for the intake. The resulting system can significantly vent the stock airbox while keeping intake temperatures to a minimum thanks to the sealed design.
The Eventuri difference
The Eventuri 2.0 TFSi Generation 4 system uses our patented carbon fiber housings that provide an aerodynamically efficient airflow path from the filter to the turbo tube. This is not just another cone filter with a heat shield, but a unique design that evokes the Venturi effect.
