If you drive your M-Car F-Series hard, chances are you've already experienced brake fade. That's where our high-performance RP650 brake pads come in. A simple replacement for your original pads using the standard braking system, they offer significantly greater resistance to high-temperature fading. This makes them perfect for spirited road driving and even occasional track use, without compromising everyday usability.

Our compound tests focused on developing a pad that strikes the right balance between excellent cold bite and high-temperature fade resistance. The result is a medium aramid fiber compound with a coefficient of friction of 0,42 μm over a temperature range of 450 to 650°C.

This compound is the secret to how our high-performance RP650 brake pads deliver superior braking power and reliable performance even in the most demanding conditions, without requiring a warm-up period – essential for cars that need to perform flawlessly on a daily basis while also meeting the demands of fast and occasional wheelies.

Finally, in most countries, brake pads must be ECE-R90 certified – while many other replacement pads are not. Not only is this ECE-R90 standard essential for legality (and potentially the validity of your insurance), but this regulation also ensures that the pads are tested and approved for their cold-weather performance, speed, sensitivity, friction behavior, compressibility, shear strength, and hardness. This means the pads perform equally well in cold conditions and at full track temperature.

In addition to pure performance, another key focus of development was perfecting the pedal feel – resulting in progressive braking with unparalleled response underfoot. The slotted and chamfered construction ensures quiet and smooth braking.

Matching rear pads are available. Ideally, we would recommend replacing both the front and rear assemblies together.

Adjustment information

Sleeping: After setup, perform a series of 10 stops ranging from 60 mph (100 km/h) to 5-10 mph (10-15 km/h). At the end of each stop, immediately accelerate to approximately 60 mph (100 km/h) for the next stop (the exact speed is not critical).

When you're slowing down to about 5-10 MPH (10-15 km/h), there's no need to monitor the speedometer, keep your eyes on the road, or estimate your speed at the end of each cycle. Don't come to a complete stop, as this will leave marks on the disc, potentially causing vibration.

At the 8th or 9th stop, there should be a distinct odor coming from the brakes. Smoke may also be visible after several stops. Additionally, at the 8th or 9th stop, some friction materials will undergo a "green discoloration." This is a slight degradation of the brakes. The discoloration will stabilize but will not disappear completely until the brakes have cooled down.
