ZRP Connecting Rods for BMW 3.0L N55 & S55 I-Beam

Description

The I-beam connecting rods for the BMW 3.0L N55 and S55 are manufactured from the finest raw materials: high-strength 4340 steel with a specially optimized shape for high performance and extreme durability. These rods feature a straight-cut spindle for increased durability and are therefore compatible only with aftermarket pistons. The bushings are made of AMPCO 18 material, offering excellent wear and fatigue resistance, and have a radial groove that acts as an oil reservoir. They are gun-forged to relieve material stress and undergo a multi-stage heat treatment to increase rigidity. Tight tolerances in the production process ensure a perfect fit while optimizing oil clearances. Bending and torsion are strictly controlled. Each rod includes ARP 2000 cap fasteners rated at 220,000 psi, an optional ARP L19 260,000 psi material available as an upgrade, and the entire kit is supplied with ARP meudyne and complete fitting instructions.
