In addition to our intercooler kit, we also offer various other products for the Porsche 992. In this big pack, we offer you, in addition to the intercoolers themselves, our intercooler pipes and silicone hoses for better airflow that will last over time!
In our opinion, this is as good as you can get for an intercooler kit on this platform. We left nothing to chance in our quest for maximum performance in every section of the system. The starting point is the renowned Garrett Motorsport cores, which are incredibly well-made with thin, stacked fins, built exactly to our specifications for cooling and airflow. The end tanks are made from thin cast aluminum to keep weight down while utilizing airflow. To accommodate the thicker core, we replaced the air guides with the highest quality carbon fiber hoses! And to eliminate bottlenecks throughout the system, the intercooler connections are larger and come with do88 silicone hoses designed with smooth, flowing curves. We made no compromises in development – see the results!

Context:
Previous versions of the Porsche 911 had their intercoolers inside each rear wing, with a Y-pipe connecting them before the charge air reached the intake manifold. The 992 has a completely different setup. The intercooler and Y-pipe are now combined into a single unit located beneath the rear wing. Ambient air is drawn through channels from the rear window, into a scoop on the trunk lid, and then through the intercooler core for optimal heat transfer. Looking at the construction from the side, this setup makes much more sense, but it's also more demanding for us as a performance cooling manufacturer. To accommodate a core with a larger volume and surface area, we had to develop new carbon fiber ducts to allow for the increased thickness. We're very pleased to have taken our carbon fiber production to the next level with this product – the fit and finish befitting an icon like the 911!
Garrett's nuclei:
The cores are of the Bar & Plate type, manufactured by the renowned Garrett Motorsport. Frankly, they're as good as they come. Thin, stacked cooling fins create a dense construction, providing highly efficient heat transfer. The core measures 105 mm (4") and is exactly as thick as possible for this application. Air is distributed across the entire core via freeform, cast end tanks. Designing this was a considerable undertaking, involving 3D scanning, CFD analysis, and 3D printing numerous times until we had a finished prototype. We opted, as usual, for cast end tanks because they allow for shapes that CNC machining cannot replicate, and for us, function always trumps form. Maximum airflow overrides the brilliance factor! The tanks are fitted with 70 mm (2,75") machined connections to allow for high outlets. To accommodate these larger connections, we also include silicone hoses. The two cores are joined by a central outlet reservoir to the intake manifold, using machined connections and methanol plugs.
Carbon ambient air guides:
The air guides are made of pre-impregnated, vacuum-infused carbon fiber, and all parts feature mounting grooves for the air channels, just like the original parts. No matter how complex their shapes, we always guarantee a perfect fit! They are equipped with appropriate rubber seals where necessary to prevent cooling air from escaping through the core.
Aluminum pipes:
In the big pack, we also include do88 charge pipes, a distinctive upgrade that replaces the stock hoses. Made from 63 mm (2,5”) mandrel-bent aluminum tubing and finished with a sleek satin black powder coating, they offer improved airflow and long-lasting durability. The pipes come with four silicone hoses, including turbo outlet hoses made from a specific high-temperature material rated for 240°C (464°F) continuous operation. The hose clamps in this position are of the "constant tension" type, meaning they will compensate for the material's thermal expansion.
Performance:
In terms of performance, do88 intercoolers significantly reduce intake temperature! The graph in the product images shows the difference compared to OE 992 units. Data was collected with an AIM dash cam during four consecutive full-throttle acceleration runs between 50 and 250 km/h (30-155 mph) on a closed runway. The tests were performed on a Porsche 911 Turbo S (757 hp with updated software and exhaust). Heavy braking, no cool-down time between runs, just five full-throttle accelerations. The rear wing was in the raised position at all times.
The test was conducted as follows:
First, four runs were performed with the car equipped with the OE 992 intercoolers. After stopping, the parts were quickly swapped to the do88 intercoolers. A break-in period of a few minutes followed by five runs performed exactly as with the OE parts. The drop in intake temperature was significant, with a peak difference of 12°C (21,6°F).
Cooling is important, as is airflow. After many hours of development, refining the end-stroke reservoirs, and selecting a core to meet our requirements, the result is a significantly more efficient intercooler in terms of heat transfer and airflow. Using our in-house airflow test bench, the Superflow SF-1020 Probench, the airflow is verified for both do88 intercoolers and OE 992 units. What you see is what you get – true performance!
