For older generation TFSI, TSI and FSI engines, RacingLine's higher output ignition coils provide higher energy efficiency, ensuring a stronger and more consistent spark. A simple plug-and-play upgrade over the original coils.

RacingLine Higher Output Ignition Coils are a direct plug-and-play upgrade to your stock ignition coils. Whether your engine is tuned in standard or Stage 3, it will immediately benefit from the increased power output and stronger, more consistent spark generated by a set of RacingLine coils.

RacingLine Higher Output Ignition Coils provide a 10% increase in output energy over stock equipment. This higher output is perfect for drivers looking to maximize the performance of their stock or modified car.

Why did we opt for a 10% gain in the output energy of our coil packs? Because this is the optimum level of increase for VWG TFSI/TSI/FSI engines. Beyond this, no additional benefit is gained, but internal coil temperatures start to rise sharply.

So at this level our coil packs can maintain coil voltage under load with little to no drop, operating consistently from idle to the shift point or redline.

Replacement is especially useful on older engines that still use the original coils. A new set is an excellent preventative maintenance upgrade to avoid the risk of misfires caused by the aging and gradual degradation of the original coils.

Fitting couldn't be simpler. This is a simple, plug and play replacement. Remove the stock coil packs and replace them with our higher output versions.
