Akrapovic Evolution Line Titanium Exhaust for Audi RS6 C8/RS7 C8

Description

Made from high-grade lightweight titanium, the Evolution Line exhaust system features a specially designed layout with a central silencer and two side silencers and a titanium header, all sourced from larger-than-stock diameter stainless steel link pipes and bespoke flex tubes, fully insulated where they attach to the downpipes. A valve on each side silencer controls the gas flow and contributes to the fantastic sound produced by the system. Each valve features a housing cast in Akrapovič’s in-house foundry, as does the complex active X-connection, which also features a valve to control the exhaust pulses on both sides of the engine. The system is completed by unique carbon fibre/titanium tailpipes – one on each side – with an eye-catching design that has never been used before, with the dynamically shaped, hand-crafted carbon fibre outer sleeve perfectly aligned with the sandblasted and coated titanium inner, all providing a powerful and sporty conclusion to this superb exhaust system.

Designed to provide a soundtrack that has been acoustically tuned to perfection at every rev point to give an aural pleasure from the low-end rumble, through a powerful mid-range and up to a high-frequency top end with the distinctive feel of Akrapovič’s racing heritage, all added to the heightened excitement where every downshift is accompanied by a high-pitched rumble. The system has been tuned to give occupants the comfort of driving like a daily commuter without unwanted hum or excessive noise. Akrapovič conducted tests on its in-house test bench with the Evolution Line (Titanium) exhaust system, using an Audi RS 6 Avant Performance (C8) with the stock Audi Sport exhaust system for comparison, and a power gain of 15,7 hp(m) at 6150 rpm and a torque increase of 17,9 Nm at 6150 rpm were achieved under controlled conditions and with a weight saving of more than 20% compared to the stock system.

This is an ECE compliant system that is highly capable in all areas. Further modifications can be made with the addition of the optional downpipe/link pipe (SS) set, improved exhaust tuning and the optional Akrapovič sound kit to control the exhaust valves and give greater flexibility in the sound produced by the exhaust. To give the Evolution (Titanium) line an even greater visual impact, a hand-crafted carbon fibre diffuser in matt or gloss is available as an option to provide that special finish.

The Link (SS) L-AU/SS/8/1 hose kit is a mandatory product of the Evolution (Titanium) S-AU/T/1H range. The system is divided into two codes due to packaging requirements.

If the Evolution Line exhaust system is combined with the Downpipe / Link pipe kit (SS), the Link pipe kit L-AU/SS/8/1 is not necessary. In this case, the ECE homologation is no longer valid and a reprogramming of the ECU is mandatory when installing it. With the installation of the optional Akrapovič sound kit part number P-HF1282 , the ECE homologation of the Evolution Line exhaust system (Titanium) is not valid.
