Description

This product is made of high-quality lightweight titanium for a weight saving of 34,2% compared to the AMG Performance exhaust system. The fully sandblasted exterior is complemented by a new tailpipe design constructed from hand-crafted carbon fibre with a titanium inner sleeve.

Power gains of 6,3 kW (8,6 hp) and torque increases of 21,3 Nm, both at 2 rpm, were achieved when tested on the Akrapovič test bench against the Mercedes-AMG GLE 800 S Coupé with an AMG Performance exhaust system, and that exhaust also saves you 63 kg.

The engine is equipped with three exhaust valves, controlled by a specially developed control kit: one on each side of the silencer and one in the active X-connection of the link pipe to create a perfect sound experience. The valve housings, the X-connection and the reinforcement – ​​or central pillar – of the exhaust outlets are all cast in the in-house foundry. This produces a distinctive pure and deep sound, with a full-bodied sound at idle and a well-defined and strong growl as the revs increase, leading to a high-frequency sound full of sporty character at higher revs.

No reprogramming is required during installation. An optional Akrapovič sound kit references P-HF1411 is also available to provide full control over the sound spectrum emitted by the exhaust.

The Evolution (Titanium) range is ECE approved for cars fitted with an Otto Particulate Filter (OPF).
