Akrapovic Titanium Slip-On Line Exhaust for BMW G20/21 M340 I

Description

Delivering significant weight savings, increased power and torque and a spectacular soundtrack, this system is constructed from high-grade lightweight titanium and complemented by hand-crafted carbon fibre tailpipes. The system delivers a weight saving of 11,89 kg over the standard OE system, an incredible 33% difference. Power and torque are increased by 3,4 kW (4,6 hp) at 2 rpm and 650 Nm at 12,4 rpm when tested on the Akrapovič test bench compared to a BMW M2i with a standard OE exhaust. An exhilarating soundtrack is delivered through the use of special parts fitted to the system. Two valves – instead of one, as in the original configuration – are calibrated to adapt the sound, and two acoustic reflectors are mounted on the exhaust outlets to guide the sound into the car’s cabin and change the driving experience, producing a fully immersive sound in the car’s cabin, to provide thrills and pleasure that all occupants can enjoy. Since the Akrapovič Slip-On Line (Titanium) exhaust system features two valves, one more than the original configuration, a TNG controller is included in the product to activate the additional exhaust valve. Two resonators, one on each side of the central silencer, perfect the sound experience. The smooth, rich sound at normal cruising speeds rises to a deep, sporty soundtrack during more enthusiastic driving, and the tones can also be controlled from the cabin with the addition of the optional Akrapovič sound kit, reference P-HF1351. Special parts are cast in Akrapovič’s in-house foundry to create the complex and intricate elements required for this system. It is ECE type-approved and no reprogramming is required for this setup (the system only fits vehicles equipped with the OPF filter, and the ECE certificate is only valid for these cars; for non-OPF vehicles, an Evolution Line system is available). An optional link pipe set is available for customers looking for an upgrade from the Slip-On Line (Titanium) exhaust system.

An additional original valve actuator (part number 18308686640) is required when installing the Slip-On exhaust system on BMW M340i (G20, G21) and M440i (G22, G23, G26).
