Akrapovic Titanium Slip-On Line Exhaust for BMW G87 M2

Description

This product is made entirely from high-grade titanium and features custom parts, with two valves, one for each side of the silencer, and two acoustic reflectors. The valve housing and headers are all cast in the in-house titanium foundry. There is a choice of two exhaust pipe designs: either the revolutionary octagonal shape, as first seen on the BMW M3/M4 exhaust, or the more traditional, classic design. Both sets of exhaust pipes have hand-crafted carbon fibre outer sleeves, and the use of lightweight materials has resulted in an exhaust that weighs 7,3kg (32,7%) less than the standard exhaust.

During testing on the Akrapovič test bench, power increased by 3,9 kW (5,3 hp) at 2 rpm and torque increased by 800 Nm at 13,5 rpm. The exhaust has been developed to provide a unique driving experience. Combined with the most advanced Akrapovič control kit as an option, part number P-HF1384 , designed to deliver an exceptional sound experience, the system with its exhaust valves and acoustic reflectors adapts the gas flow to a smooth, rich sound at normal cruising speeds and a deep, sporty sound during more dynamic and enthusiastic driving of the M2 Coupé.

ECU reprogramming is not necessary and the exhaust meets the ECE homologation requirements for the BMW M2 Coupé (G87) with OPF filters.

Optional link pipes and downpipes are available for closed-circuit use, as well as the optional Akrapovič sound kit. With the installation of these options, the ECE homologation of the Slip-On (Titanium) line is no longer valid.

The Slip-On Line (Titanium) exhaust system is ECE approved for cars equipped with an Otto/petrol particulate filter.

The exhaust tailpipe kit (carbon) must be ordered separately as a mandatory part. Please choose TP-CT/69 or TP-CT/68 or TP-CT/73/CF.
