Description

Precision design and engineering have resulted in an exhaust that produces a unique sound thanks to its high-grade all-titanium construction. Special headers inside both mufflers eliminate trickle noise, and internal cones act as acoustic reflectors and partially direct the sound from the bumper-mounted tailpipes forward and into the cabin. The sound is linearized across the rev range and engine load, delivering a smooth sound at cruising speed, and as revs increase the sound becomes more dramatic and sporty. The sound is controlled by dual exhaust valves and a control kit, which monitors driving parameters and precisely controls the opening and closing of the valves to create a distinctive, finely tuned sound.

The exhaust is completed by a pair of dual tailpipes constructed from hand-crafted carbon fibre outer sleeves and high-grade titanium inner sleeves, and the use of race-proven lightweight materials has helped reduce weight by 26,5% (3,6kg) compared to the standard OEM system. Performance has been improved with a power increase of 6,3kW (8,6hp) at 6rpm and a torque gain of 650Nm at 13,5rpm when tested on the Akrapovič test bench against a Mercedes-AMG C 2 650MATIC with a standard OEM exhaust. This product is ECE approved. Plug-and-play installation means no reprogramming is required. An optional Akrapovič audio kit is also available, as well as an optional Evolution Link Pipe (SS) set for owners looking for an enhanced acoustic experience and better performance from the Akrapovič Slip-On Line (Titanium) exhaust.

The Slip-On Line (Titanium) exhaust system is ECE approved for cars equipped with a petrol particulate filter.

With the Slip-On, please choose one of the mandatory additional products: L-ME/T/12 Link Pipe Set or Evolution E-ME/SS/2 Link Pipe Set.

With the installation of the Evolution (SS) E-ME/SS/2 Link Pipe Kit and the optional Akrapovič Sound Kit reference P-HF1564  The ECE type approval of the Slip-On line (titanium) is no longer valid.
