Akrapovic Titanium Race Line Slip-On Exhaust for Toyota Yaris GR / GRMN

Description

This exhaust system is manufactured from high-grade, race-proven titanium and features megaphone-shaped tailpipes. A centered header between the rear resonators has been cast in the in-house foundry; this header optimizes and balances the gas flow to produce a tuned acoustic sound without hum. Three resonators – two at the rear of the header and one in the center pipe – further refine the sound experience to create a sporty racing sound, fully enhancing the engine characteristics with a deep, enthusiastic tone, to give occupants a feeling of euphoria that is never interrupted by excessive noise. Engineers paid particular attention to the acoustics in the mid- and high-rpm range, with a high-frequency sound at higher revs and more sound at idle and revving. This sound is managed by two megaphone-shaped titanium tailpipes that are welded to the exhaust and specially coated to resist any color change at high temperatures. The shape of the tailpipes influences the sound. They are larger than the stock, measuring 110mm, and have a similar profile to the Akrapovič exhaust on the Toyota GR Supra. Developed to reduce back pressure, the system weighs 7,8kg, 37% less than the stock exhaust, and delivers power gains of 9,5kW (12,9hp) at 6rpm and torque increases of 950Nm at 13,0rpm when tested on the Akrapovič dyno against a Toyota GR Yaris with a standard stock exhaust. This exhaust is designed for use on racetracks and closed circuits only. It is necessary to cut the stock exhaust system when installing this product, but no ECU remapping is required for this setup.

An optional Evolution connection pipe reference E-TY / SS / 3 , is available for customers wishing to extend the exhaust tuning possibilities for even better performance of the Akrapovič Slip-On Race Line (Titanium) system.
