Eventuri carbon inlets for BMW F9X X5M/X6M, G09 XM, X5/X7 M60i LCI Turbo

Description

This is the perfect complement to our X5M, XM intake system to optimize the flow path to the turbos. Our carbon intakes have a larger volume than the stock intakes maintaining a larger diameter all the way to the turbos. The stock intakes narrow immediately after connecting to the intake creating restriction, especially at higher boost levels. We have alleviated this restriction and also designed the curvature to be as smooth as possible, allowing the turbos to operate with reduced drag. Made from pre-preg carbon fiber with CNC machined flanges, the intakes also provide an aesthetic upgrade to the engine bay.

The benefits of intakes are evident on tuned vehicles where the boost pressure is higher and therefore the demand for flow from the turbos is greater. This is where the larger intake volume of the intakes helps provide this extra flow.

Eventuri X5M intakes are manufactured from high temperature pre-preg carbon fibre and are assembled with a number of other components designed to fulfil a specific purpose and manufactured to the highest standards.

Each set of air inlets consists of:

CNC Machined Breather Valve Assembly

COMPARISONS

The performance gains are achieved by giving the turbos a less resistive flow path that allows them to reach maximum boost earlier in the RPM range. When compared to stock intakes, the differences are obvious. While stock tubes taper immediately after connecting to the intakes, our tubes maintain a larger diameter and the reduction to the stock turbos is achieved with an internal radius on the machined flanges. This allows for greater volume while maintaining a smooth flow path. One of the drawbacks of the oversized intakes was the more aggressive downsizing to match the stock turbos, which created some flow constraints.
