Description

Do you regularly remove and reinstall your wheels? Then you know how frustrating original wheel bolts can be! Aligning the holes, tapping the brake caliper against the wheel, avoiding stripping the threads… all while balancing the wheel's weight. M14 x 1,25 stud made of heat-treated and chrome-plated high-carbon steel.

M14 x 1,25 stud made of heat-treated and chrome-plated high-carbon steel.

Installing our wheel stud and nut kit on your vehicle is a simple and reversible operation that will speed up your wheel changes. This kit also allows for the safe use of various spacers without the risk of stripping the threads. All MMR studs feature a superb glossy black anodized finish, and conical or spherical seat nuts are available to fit both original and aftermarket wheels.

We offer two different lengths of dowels, depending on your configuration:

70 mm stud: without spacer or with spacer up to 10 mm

80 mm stud: 10 to 20 mm spacers

We also offer two types of lug nuts, depending on your rims: spherical or conical. Please check the type of lug nuts required for your rims; choosing the correct one is important! Note that most original rims use conical lug nuts.

Reinforced fastening.

The M14 x 1,25 high-strength steel studs, designed for competition, and the larger anodized wheel nuts offer superior strength compared to the original bolts, for optimal strength and safety.

Quick wheel change.

The stud and nut kits are suitable for all vehicles used on the track and requiring frequent wheel changes. The studs allow for considerable time savings on the track.

Easy installation.

Our MMR wheel studs screw in place of your original wheel bolts using hex socket inserts, for simplified installation. They are also easy to remove.

Maximum vehicle weight: 2,500 kg.

This product is not an anti-theft system.

As with all anodized finishes, do not clean these nuts with aggressive acidic or alkaline cleaners, as this may damage the finish.

Use only pH-neutral cleaners (i.e., acid-free, alkali-free, and solvent-free). Never use wheel cleaner or any chemicals, including abrasive compounds, on the lug nuts. We recommend washing with mild soap and water. We advise against using commercial car washes that employ harsh chemicals such as TFR.

Remove the wheels and clean the hub threads and the short ends of the new studs using a suitable solvent, such as brake cleaner. Ensure the threads are perfectly clean and free of grease.

Before installing the stud, check that the shaft (the smooth part between the inner and outer threads) passes easily through the holes in the disc and that the stud does not hit the brake disc.

Coat the threads of the short end of the stud with a thin layer of Loctite Blue 2422 or equivalent (resistant to high temperatures up to 343°C – it is important to use a high-temperature Loctite, above the hub temperature).

Using a 6mm Allen key, screw the short end of the stud into the hub until the rod is fully engaged.

DO NOT TIGHTEN THE STUD IN THE HUB TOO TIGHT - TIGHTEN TO APPROXIMATELY 40 Nm (30 ft-lbs).

Wait approximately three hours for the threadlocker to completely dissipate, then refit the wheels with the new nuts using a 19 mm socket. Lower the vehicle to the ground and tighten the wheel nuts to the torque specified by the manufacturer for the original wheel bolts.

Recheck the stud tightening torque after 30 minutes of driving, once the assembly is warm.
