The connecting tube set (SS) has been tested and developed with the Slip-On Race Line system (Titanium).

Made from high quality stainless steel, this is a performance upgrade from the Slip-On Race Line (Titanium) to a full Akrapovič exhaust system, developed for use on closed racing circuits only. Featuring flexible tubes in the front section, this link pipe set (SS) eliminates the catalytic converters of the standard stock exhaust, allowing for a more direct gas flow compared to a Ferrari 296 GTB equipped with a standard stock system. Tests conducted by Akrapovič engineers in comparison with vehicles equipped with a standard stock exhaust and an Akrapovič Slip-On Race Line (Titanium) exhaust with the link pipe set (SS) produced lower back pressure from the Akrapovič setup, offering the potential for improved performance with mandatory ECU remapping.

Weighing 38,4% (- 3,6 kg) less than the standard OE part, this link pipe set (SS) combined with the Slip-On Race Line (Titanium) gives the entire system an exhilarating sound experience with a raw and powerful growl in the lower rev range that develops into a thrilling high-frequency racing sound.
