Description

The MMX front differential lift bracket/cradle (MMR55-1604) is designed for BMW G8x M2, M3, and M4 models. Installed alone in the original location, it reduces drivetrain movement under load, both on the road and on the track. When used in conjunction with the MMX rear differential lift bushing (MMR55-1605), it raises the differential by 10 mm, correcting the driveshaft geometry on lowered vehicles and reducing heat and premature wear of the driveshafts. Precision-machined from 6061-T6 aluminum, it is a direct replacement with no modifications required.

Front differential cradle, original or raised.

The MMX front differential mount/cradle (MMR55-1604) is a precision-machined replacement part for the differential mount on BMW M2, M3, and M4 models in the G8x series. Designed to reduce movement under load, it mounts directly to the original location and reinforces the connection between the differential and the chassis, thus limiting drivetrain movement during hard acceleration and load variations, without altering the vehicle's geometry.

This same subframe also solves a problem specific to lowered vehicles. Lowering a BMW M2, M3, or M4 from the G8x series alters the rear axle geometry, placing the drive shafts at an unintended angle. This accelerates wear on the CV joints and drive shafts, and increases differential heat. Combined with the MMX raised polyurethane rear differential bushing (MMR55-1605), the subframe raises the differential by 10 mm, restoring the correct drive shaft geometry and reducing stress on the transmission. This is a 3-point kit, comprising a subframe (MMR55-1604) and a raised bushing (MMR55-1605).

For a complete 4-point setup, the MMX dual differential mount (MMR55-1606) is added, along with a second raised bushing, allowing for improved control of the differential's movement at the corrected and raised height. The 4-point kit includes a cradle (MMR55-1604), two raised bushings (MMR55-1605), and the dual differential mount (MMR55-1606).

The unique feature of this cradle is that a single product covers both applications. It's not a raised version and a standard version sold separately, but a single cradle where the configuration of the ring and support at the mounting point determines whether it's simply reducing movement or correcting the geometry on a lowered vehicle.
