do88 is proud to present the open air intake system for Audi RS3 and TT RS, designed for high performance!
We took the incredible five-cylinder Audi RS3 and set ourselves a number of goals. One, power output. With several options already on the market, we aimed to create something that could handle 1000 hp. Two, to eliminate any bottlenecks, the diameter of the air filter and the piping itself naturally had to be significant. Three, we wanted to create a fully enclosed system. However, having the filter completely free of its housing improves airflow. This is the kit for optimal airflow with a 5-10% advantage over a closed system – depending on the application! Something for the drag racing enthusiast.
With these three elements, often combined but rarely optimized, we took action. The result, we believe, speaks for itself. To date, this is probably the largest air intake system for the TT RS and RS3 on the market! Made from the highest quality, pre-impregnated, vacuum-infused carbon fiber (2x2mm twill) that connects to the massive 6″ BMC filter, it ensures the engine always has ample airflow! The tubing itself is 6″ where it connects to the filter, then narrows towards the turbo, though it never gets narrower than 4,5″ at its tightest point!
Given the size and presence of this kit – you know we mean business! The robust yet lightweight carbon fiber is finished with a glossy, heat- and UV-resistant varnish to protect it from yellowing over time. A look that matches the performance!
The system is available in several different configurations. It's compatible with the 4,5″ turbo inlet hose – for which you can choose from three different turbo adapters – as well as the stock cast iron turbo inlet pipe. This makes the piping versatile and compatible with many turbo setups! Adding the do88 inlet hose effectively eliminates any bottlenecks before the turbo to prevent surges, even with higher outputs!
Tests performed on our SF-1020 SuperFlow test bench clearly demonstrate the importance of this optional inlet hose. The inlet hose alone provides a substantial 19% increase in airflow. Combined with the do88 4,5″ inlet hose, the overall increase in airflow is 76%! We highly recommend this combination.
The kit is available in four versions, depending on the turbo application:
Air intake system only. Connects to the OEM cast iron inlet piping.
With the do88 turbo inlet hose and a CNC adapter (56,3mm) to the OE turbo.
With the do88 turbo inlet hose and a CNC adapter (62,8mm) to TTE 600, 625 V2 and 700 turbos.
With the do88 turbo inlet hose and a CNC adapter (65,7mm) to TTE 777 and 855 turbos.
