The Mercedes A35 Eventuri turbo pipe has been developed to provide the turbo with a less restrictive flow path compared to the stock pipe. We have managed to increase the internal volume and eliminate the ribbed flex section on the airbox side. By using an all-solid pipe from the intake to the turbo, the flow path is smoother and the airflow can therefore remain more laminar. To accommodate the movement of the engine, our A35 intake features a ‘floating’ pipe, which can move within the airbox. The shape of the carbon pipe at the end of the turbo has been optimised using CFD to minimise turbulence. The connection to the turbo is made using an innovative silicon coupler which features an internal heat separator between the carbon pipe and the metal turbo housing.
